“The international scientific community carries out multidisciplinary, medical research with no regard for national borders. SWISS BRIDGE follows the same principle to seek financial support for this work, in order to intensify the international fight against cancer on all fronts, and to allow future generations to profit from the present advances being made.”
Prof. Dr Giorgio Noseda, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation
Our stated priority is to advance efforts to fight cancer with all available means.
Invests in cancer research worldwide
In the past years, we have supported numerous projects in Brazil, Belgium, the UK, France, Israel, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Generates approx. CHF 2 million in research funding every year
Banks in Switzerland have introduced numerous clients to SWISS BRIDGE who have donated substantial amounts to SWISS BRIDGE.
Annual SWISS BRIDGE AWARD for international researchers
The SWISS BRIDGE Award has become one of Europe’s most important annual research awards. Only outstanding applications will receive funding of up to CHF 500,000 for their future projects.
No expenses deducted from donations for research
Over the past years, the supporters and friends of the foundation have covered all the costs for public relations, fundraising and administration. This allows us to allocate one hundred per cent of donations designated for research to the respective research teams.
World-class scientific standing
Both the Scientific Committee and the Patrons Committee include Nobel prizewinners and other world renowned scientists.
Close co-operation with the UICC
International investors and international researchers may rate the quality of SWISS BRIDGE through its partnership with the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) which stipulates that recipients of SWISS BRIDGE funding outside Switzerland be a member of the UICC.
“Swissness” (trustworthy, modest and precise)
For more than 12 years SWISS BRIDGE has undertaken only modest PR activities, putting itself on the shortlist of the most efficient and successful platforms raising funds for cancer research.
